Frame ecosystem — solar energy
Solar for every roof
30–40% of commercial and industrial roofs cannot bear conventional solar panels. FrameSolar, powered by Solarge, solves this with a polymer-based PV module that's lighter, greener, and fully recyclable.

Why rethink solar
Conventional panels leave most roofs behind.
The solar transition is accelerating — but the technology hasn't kept up with the realities of the built environment. FrameSolar addresses the four main barriers to broader solar adoption.
Structural weight
30–40% of commercial and industrial roofs cannot structurally support the weight of glass-based PV modules. Most of that capacity is stranded.
Toxic materials
Most PV panels use PFAS-containing fluoropolymer backsheets — persistent pollutants now under regulatory scrutiny worldwide.
Carbon intensity
Solar panels deliver CO₂-free energy once installed, but production remains highly carbon-intensive. The embodied carbon of manufacturing must be reduced.
End-of-life
With millions of panels aging out, recycling has become urgent. Most conventional modules end up landfilled rather than recovered.
The SOLO module
PV module 2.0 — all advantages, no compromises.
Solarge's patented polymer design replaces glass with high-performance polymer and glass-fibre composite — delivering the same energy output at a fraction of the weight, footprint, and end-of-life impact.
50% lighter
At 5.5 kg/m² versus 11 kg/m² for conventional modules, SOLO opens solar to roofs previously excluded by structural limits.
80% lower carbon
592 kg CO₂-eq/kWp versus 1,600 for glass-based panels — the lowest carbon footprint of any mass-produced PV module.
98% recyclable
Patented layer-separation allows solar cells and polymer plates to be recovered and reused. Solarge offers a take-back warranty and €1 refund per panel.
No PFAS or antimony
Zero fluoropolymers. Zero antimony. Designed from the start to comply with the most stringent global environmental and health standards.
Unbreakable
Non-glass polymer construction eliminates breakage risk during transport, installation, and operation — lowering handling costs and waste.
IEC certified
Full IEC certification. Same energy output and cost level as conventional modules. Manufactured in the Netherlands, with US production launching Q4 2025.

Same energy output. Same cost level. Half the weight.
Circular by design
Built to be recovered, not buried.
Thanks to a patented design, SOLO panels can be disassembled at end of life with a simple heating step — separating solar cells from polymer plates for full material recovery. The process is designed to be automated at volume.
- 98% recyclable (no downcycling) — the highest in the industry
- 100% of critical materials (silicon, copper) recovered
- Solarge take-back warranty guarantees panel collection after lifespan
- €1 refund per panel returned to the recycling program
- Biobased and waste-stream polymer inputs in development
Material composition — SOLO panel
Silicon and copper are classified as critical substances; both are fully recovered in the take-back recycling program.
Where FrameSolar works
Solar energy for spaces conventional panels can't reach.
Flat commercial roofs
Industrial warehouses, logistics centres, and big-box retail — roofs with limited load capacity that are perfect candidates for lightweight SOLO modules.
Solar carports
Covered parking structures with integrated PV generation. Modular aluminum and steel framing designed for SOLO modules, with cable management built in.
Building retrofits
Add solar to existing buildings without structural reinforcement. SOLO's low weight unlocks energy generation for structures built before solar was considered.
Façades & BIPV
Building-integrated photovoltaics: SOLO's flexible polymer format opens possibilities for façade cladding, canopies, and architectural solar surfaces.
Bring solar to every roof.
Our team can evaluate your project's structural capacity, model energy output, and coordinate SOLO module supply and installation.
